Spectacular hiking trails start right outside the gate. From Frigiliana and nearby Nerja, you'll find plenty of marked routes in popular hiking apps, ranging from gentle walks to more challenging trails through the Sierra Almijara, with pine forests, mountain ridges and beautiful sea views.

Granada, Málaga, Ronda and the Alhambra are all within easy reach. The local wine region around Cómpeta is well worth an afternoon detour.
